In February 2026, I had the pleasure of photographing the lovely Julia Romanova during a portrait session in a studio near Zürich.
Winter is the perfect time to work indoors, focusing purely on expression, light, and detail. Studio sessions allow us to slow things down and really concentrate on creating strong, elegant portraits without the distractions of weather or busy surroundings.
Julia brought a natural confidence and calm energy to the shoot, which made the entire session flow effortlessly. With controlled lighting and a simple setup, we were able to create clean, timeless images that highlight her personality and presence in front of the camera.
Studio photography is a different rhythm compared to mountain or outdoor shoots — more intimate, more focused — and I always enjoy the creative challenge it brings.
